OUR MODEL

We don’t rely on luck; we rely on a proven strategy that combines direct assistance with community mobilization. Our holistic approach is built on the belief that sustained success requires more than just money—it requires a network of care.

Our Compass

We provide a comprehensive safety net, to help build resilience and agency, empowering individuals to thrive. Our approach combines:

  1. Direct Holistic Support: Providing financial aid and essential life resources.
  2. Dedicated Mentorship: Fostering academic, professional, and personal growth.
  3. Community Crowdfunding: Mobilizing collective generosity to meet immediate and individualized needs.

Our Rationale: Explore our Theory of Change.

Our Solutions

We provide customized care through two key initiatives, each offering the holistic support our audiences need most.

The Lighthouse Scholars Initiative

LSI is a comprehensive program offering debt-free higher education through financial aid and mentorship for first-generation students from low-income households. We support scholars with tuition, fees, rent, and food from start to finish, ensuring their focus remains on academic success.
For Students

The Precious Pearls Project

This project is transformative and designed to uplift women (ages 18-32) overcoming hardships such as homelessness or domestic abuse. We foster a sense of belonging treating women to an annual day of respite and self-care, followed by personalized 6 or 18-month empowerment tracks focused on job readiness and long-term independence.
For Women

Our Impact

The greatest measure of our success is the lasting stability, hope, and achievements of the individuals we serve.

Every donation, every hour of mentoring, and every supportive event helps ensure students graduates debt-free or a woman achieves sustainable independence.

  • We maintain an 85% college persistence rate for our  Scholars.
  • We ensure scholars earn degrees with zero college-related debt.
  • We actively connect women in the Precious Pearls 18-month track with resources needed for employment and stable housing.
